I've never had this problem, thankfully, but know many who have. What special steps do you take, if any, to keep mice out of the camper during winter storage?

I have heard about the dryer sheets. I've also read that placing pieces of Irish Spring soap in the camper works and it smells nice when you go to use after the winter.

When we had our Coleman Niagara Elite pop up we had trouble with mice one year. We had the whole canvas replaced that season. The mice were getting in under the slideout where it slide into the frame of the trailer. I stuffed the gaps with steel wool. I thought if those buggers could chew through steel wool, then they deserved to be in there. I never had a problem after that.

It has been a month since we used the pop up. When I went out to do some work on it today as I cranked it up a mouse ran out of it. Not sure how it got it but it started to rain hard and I had to drop the top and wasn't able to see if I had any damage.

Any ideas? Don't think the dryer sheets did the trick.

Check if there are any holes in the floor where water lines or gas or electric are ran.Mice dont need a very big opening to get in.If there are any get steel wool and pack around the opening that showuld do the trick

Interesting......never heard of using dryer sheets. When we had our pop up I would get dog flee collars and cut them up into 2" long peices and place them in the cabinets. Never had mice or spiders.
I still use the flee collars in the new camper but,

Oooops....hit the wrong key.... laptop
but, I also started putting two boxes of Decon out over the winter and I put lavender scented moth balls in the storage areas and on the lip of the frame. The collars also work well in the hot water and refrig access areas. Keeps the spiders out of them.

Depending on where your RV is stored....friends of ours had mice in their travel trailer and she said she put several cups full of moth balls beneath the camper and that solved her problem. She did say her camper was on a concrete pad. Another friend of ours said their rv was parked in a field adjacent to their driveway....and this worked for them also. We have had our RV two years and I have never had this problem which suprises me because we live on 8 acres and field mice are everywhere, especially in our barn. They are so destructive....chewed a 200 dollar bridle to bits and my prized saddle was damaged as well, they seem to like rawhide in that instance. One piece of advice NEVER use decon...they can/will crawl into your walls or spaces you cannot get to and die there then you will never get that smell out. Yuck!
