We are home from our weekend trip to Shenango Valley RV Park and we all had a great time!

The kids loved the playground and the nice, big swimming pool. Our site was #202 and it backed up to the playground and the pool was only about 50 feet away. The sites were nice and big and we didn't feel cramped in, like you sometimes do in private campgrounds.

Debbie checked us in when we arrived and couldn't have been nicer.

We have had several discussions about "pet friendly" campgrounds on this forum, and let me tell you, this is probably one of the nicest campgrounds I have been to when it comes to catering to families with pets. From the "doggie treat" that they gave our pooch when we arrived, to finding that they have 2 enclosed areas where you can take your best friend and let run around without a leash. Very impressive and I know Ranger (the real one, not the pretend Ranger on this site) really enjoyed his time there also.

My only warning I would give is to people that are camping in tents or pop ups that don't have their own bathroom facilities. While the restrooms were extremely clean and well kept, the showers are pay showers. Just make sure you take your spare change when you go.

All in all it was a very nice trip. My wife even got to spend some time with an old high school friend that happens to live about 15 minutes from the campground.

We have found another campground that will definately be put into our families rotation.
