Spent the weekend here on August 13-15. Nice little campground that has both it's good points and bad points. Here are my families assessments....
Good Features:
1. Very close proximity to interstate 90 and only 7 miles from Presque Isle State Park.
2. Staff was very friendly and rates were very reasonable. Full hook ups, including cable tv, for $34 per night for family of 4.
3. Sites were pretty level. When I pulled in, was only off by 1/2 inch to being level left to right. Quick adjustment and we were on our way.
4. All sites were pull through. Read the negative points to find what we didn't like about this layout.
5. Even though the campground was pretty full (only a handful of sites empty over the weekend) it was very quiet inside the campground at night. I really think that everyone there uses the campground as a place to eat and sleep and spends most of their time at the lake. (That's why you go to Erie in the first place, isn't it?)
6. Nice little camp store that had everything you can think of, or may have forgotten to bring, to help make your stay more enjoyable. Connected to the store was a game room and laundry facilities. Most importantly, at least in my boys point of view, they sold ice cream novelties.
Bad Features:
1. Sites were a little tight. The pull through design is such that neighboring campers pull in from opposite roads. This means that camper doors and awnings are facing each other. You become friendly with the neighbors whether you want to or not. lol Though, this would be a great feature if you are traveling with another family and want to "share" a campsite.
2. No swimming pool and limited playground for kids. Though this wasn't an issue for us, as we used the campground as a "base camp" for a day at the beach. If, however, you are looking for a campground to spend the entire weekend at without having to leave, the kids may get a little bored.
3. Close proximity to interstate 90. I know, I listed this under both categories. Yes, it is a very easy campground to get to and to navigate through. But, it is rather close to I-90. That means there were times in the night that you could hear the noise from the interstate. I swear on Friday night that every loud Harley Davidson in Erie County passed the campground between 11 pm and midnight.
All in all, it was a nice campground and we have already decided that we will be returning again next year so that we can enjoy another nice weekend at the beach.

Wow... Great review Randy... Thanks for all of the info... I feel as though I have stayed there before now with all of that info... That is weird how they have the sites so your camper door sides are facing each other... Not so sure I would like that unless I was camping with them... Thanks again !
