met a fellow who dives with an underwater metal detector in the lakes up in the poconoes.he told me about all the unusal stuff he has found, 4wheelers, snowmobiles, boat motors,ice fishing gear ect.he even found a couple of rifles and handguns.anybody on here do this and do you have any good stories to share?

Hmmm... I  but not with an under water metal detector... Sounds like a very cool thing to do ! Makes you wonder what crimes were committed with those weapons !

I agree with you Ranger. Hmm. Maybe he will find Jimmy Hoffa as well. Handguns that were thrown into lakes.....interesting.

That is very interesting. Being from Michigan I was telling people I work with about the Jimmy Hoffa story and know one seemed to know who I was talking about.

the diver gave the guns to the state police and told them where he found them.they took them but never got back to him with any information as far as i know.

 Would have been interesting to see if there were any crimes committed with them, or if they were "the missing link" to an investigation
